NDIS workers are essential workers.
You make a difference every day and deserve to be valued for what you do.
You deserve the same rights as other essential workers in our community (such as nurses, ambos, firefighters and teachers) including access to paid training and the ability to take your long service leave with you when you move jobs.
We know that many NDIS workers have never been able to take a proper break from work. This is because the nature of the funding means workers often move employers every few years. This means there are lots of people in the disability and community services industry who – despite working in similar roles for decades – have never been eligible to take long service leave.
